No, you don't have to wait until the CSS is loaded in - this page is intentionally barebones. Maybe one day I'll update it.
If you want to know something about me: I am a research master student in new media at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. In the broadest sense, I am interested in digital technologies - the theoretical aspects as well as its practicalities (although you likely wouldn't tell from this webpage). Ideally, I try to bridge the gap between the theoretical and material ends of digital technology, in order to ground what by many is perceived as highly abstract (or just check my LinkedIn for more info)
Personally I'm interested in messing around with computers (under the mantra of 'making your hobby your work'), gaming, playing guitar, and I've been dealing with a Radiohead addiction over the past year or so.
Practically speaking, through the years I've been working on these projects:
An upcoming social party game for Ziggo's Horizon Box. More news coming soon!
I work with the creative minds of the Utrecht-based conceptdevelopers of Open Concept. Initially as an intern working on Het Gezondste Festival: a festival that presented health in a playful, innovative and unusual way. Later, I worked on Building Blocks, a project that presented innovations from Utrecht in minitature-style blocks (of which I also made one).
An interactive journey through the history of online advertising.
A tool that allows you to quickly explore the images on a Facebook Page.
A visualisation of the websites that US Senators refer to on their Facebook pages.
Some MA essays I wrote about (an)aesthetics in the digital age, the materiality of Web technology, Government as a Platform and accelerationism. This is my BA Thesis, a discourse analysis on nudging, but it's probably best left untouched.
